Traders, situated on the upper
level of The Bay Hotel, is a sophisticated bar/lounge perfect
for relaxing in. Traders offers a choice of aromatic cigars,
fine champagne and cognac. A unique feature is a temperature
controlled walk-in cellar from which guests may choose a bottle
from a selection of rare local and imported wines. While enjoying
a pre-dinner drink, guests can peruse the wine selection to
enjoy with their meal. The elegant, comfortable room enjoys
an open flow into Tides Restaurant and provides an up-market,
versatile setting for private gatherings.
Sandy B, situated on the lower
level of The Bay Hotel, is a casual, but chic & trendy
cocktail bar venue with direct access from the sands of Camps
Bay beach. It is fun, casual and invites locals and visitors
alike to enjoy a light lunch or sip a cocktail while basking
in the last rays of the setting sun on the wooden deck and
enjoying those famous Camps Bay sunsets. Shapes of the Atlantic
Seaboard are found in the bar counter and glass racks. The
low furniture, timber, stainless steel & granite finishes
add to the relaxed atmosphere, but remain uncomplicated so
as not to detract from the view.
Espresso Bar This pool-side
bar, situated on the lower level of The Bay Hotel, closes
for winter but plans are already underway to come back
with a clout. The new season will bring a completely new concept
more funky & hip, with the emphasis being placed
on healthy salads, designer sandwiches and light lunches.
Blues Restaurant situated near
The Bay Hotel in The Promenade, Camps Bay is
a 160-seater Californian style restaurant that has always
been a place for casual, yet sophisticated dining, Blues has
spectacular views of the palm-fringed Camps Bay beach, and

Baraza Groove Bar situated
near The Bay Hotel in The Promenade, Camps Bay (next
door to Blues Restaurant) is a 75-seater African style
wine bar and eatery. Inspired by the island of Zanzibar, you
can feel the spirit ~ the mood, the flavours, taste &
drink. Baraza, Swahili for Meeting Place, is available
for cocktail functions and private parties.
Special Treats
Curio Shop at the Bay Located
off the Reception area of The Bay Hotel, the curio shop has
a small, but distinguished display of specialised, handcrafted
curios, jewellery and art. All pieces have been sourced from
local and African traders, and provide guests with the opportunity
of taking home a special reminder of their stay at The Bay.
The shop also offers a selection of South African wines and
a small number of convenience items such as camera film &
postcards.
Burlak at the Bay, a health &
beauty salon, has been at The Bay for almost 4 years offering
a variety of treatments including body massage, aromatherapy,
reflexology, pedicures & manicures for guests and local
clientele. The salon has a warm and tranquil feel about it,
using calming colour combinations, which match the feel of the
hotel and reflect the sea, sand and mountains. Products of the
highest quality are used Rene Guinot, Jeanne, Gatineau
and Givenchy.
