This is a haven for fly fishermen. Enjoy tranquil and
picturesque surroundings whilst fishing for your prize
in the well stocked Kariega River.
Canoeing

our nesting Fish Eagles.

Within 25 or 40 minutes are the famous Royal Port Alfred
or Fish River Sun golf courses. Golf enthusiasts can experience

Kariega boasts more than 200 species of birds, among them
the high soaring Fish, Marshall and Crowned Eagles. This
great selection of bird life will keep keen bird watchers

Swimming
For 'water babies' or those just wanting to cool off from
the hot African sun, dive into the river and revel in
the beautiful river pools. Swimming is safe and there
are no crocodiles! For the less adventurous, there is

Nature lovers in search of the Big-5 can take advantage of
Kariega's varied range of affordable sarfari packages. We
offer Game Trail Packages, or we will tailor make one especially
for you.
Our packages include 2 and 3 night options where guests can
include day trips to Shamwari and the Addo Elephant National
Park en route to and from Kariega whilst overnighting at Kariega
Game Reserve.
3 Night Option
includes:
Day 1
Transfer to Shamwari Game Reserve by 10.30 am. This includes
lunch and a game drive. Transfer to Kariega Game Reserve
where you will overnight and enjoy dinner in our spectacular
restaurant.
Day 2
Starts with a breakfast. The days activities entail a
river cruise along the magnificent Kariega River, on the
Reserve's enchanting barge, The Kariega Queen and a Game
Drive through Kariega's game abundant wilderness. Lunch
and Dinner are included.
Day 3
Spend the day relaxing and enjoying the various activities
the Reserve has to offer. (see our activities page). The
day includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4
Depart Kariega after breakfast for Addo Elephant National
Park, home to the densest population of Elephant in world.
