The Western Cape Hotel & Spa - Cape Town
The exclusive 6 star Luxury Collection Western Cape Hotel and Spa boasts a grand championship golf course and is situated on the Arabella Country Estate next to Southern Africa's largest and most beautiful natural lagoon. Only a short drive from the celebrated whale haven of Hermanus, the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, Cape Agulhas - the southern most tip of Africa - the Cape wine route and the renowned Blaauwklippen Wine Farm, makes this location unique.

The Western Cape Hotel and Spa offers a safe and secure, unsurpassed luxury lifestyle experience, blending integrally with the protected biosphere environment and showcasing many of Mother Nature’s rare and beautiful creature and plant creations.

From the moment you enter the Arabella Country Estate premises, you immediately get the feeling that you are about to experience something totally unique. Even the polite efficient security at the gate, impressive as it is, couldn’t prepare you for the magnificent sights that you catch glimpses of on your short drive from the main entrance to the hotel. At the impressive hotel entrance, you again notice how efficient and friendly the hotel’s staff is.

Checking in (or out for that matter) at this hotel is indeed a pleasant surprise – why don’t all hotels do it this way? It’s so civilised. The receptionist is seated behind the desk and you in turn are seated at the other side! What a sensible, professional, stress free approach to what is normally a dreaded laborious necessity in most other hotels.

The short walk from reception to your room is also a rather pleasant experience, with views of the lagoon, golf course, pool area, mountain ranges and gardens. The walk also offers a foretaste of what the Laguna Lounge, Cristobal’s Cigar Bar and Barnabas’ Bar have to offer.

Your card key not only offers you exclusive entry into your room, but also activates the lights in the room. So, when you leave your room, you automatically switch the lights off, a great energy saving initiative, which is appropriate in this Biosphere Reserve area.

When you open your terrace door, you will notice that the air conditioning automatically switches off and when you close the door, it automatically switches on again.

The rooms too are luxurious and unique to say the least. The tasteful choice of décor clearly communicates a first world influence within a South African coastal African theme.
