Put your skills to the test on our 18-hole championship
golf course, designed by Hugh Baiocchi to provide an exciting
challenge whatever your handicap.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Champagne and
Cathkin Peaks, this course offers the golfer not only
a superb challenge of golf on a perfectly manicured
layout but also a scenic experience that is reward enough.
The clubhouse is easily accessible from the resort
and you have access to caddies, motorized golf carts,
a well-stocked Pro-Shop, as well as lessons from our
Resident Professional Golfer.
The clubhouse is also equipped with both a ladies and
gentleman's locker room and a bar, and light meals are
served in the golf lounge and on the magnificent verandah
which overlooks the golf course and the mountains beyond.
The Course
THE GREENS:
All the Greens are of the highest quality and are planted
with L93 bent-grass which have proven extremely suitable
for the region, particularly in winter where the greens
remain 'green', receptive and true to line.
THE BUNKERS:
The 84 well appointed and well shaped bunkers that line
fairways and greens all have white silica sand imported
from Bronkhorstspruit and will be appreciated by professional
and novice alike for their consistency.
THE FAIRWAYS:
The fairways are all planted with kikuyu grass presenting
a wonderful green carpet, further enhancing the beauty
of this truly unique South African Golf Course.
THE ROUGH:
Whilst badly misdirected shots will be punished, particularly
in the wetlands and at the water holes, fairways are wide,
bordered by light rough.
