Prince's
Grant Golf Course
Princes Grant Golf Course is located at the very
entrance of KwaZulu Natals Zululand region, just
80km outside Durban. This coastal golf course is less
than 100m from the sea and offers spectacular views from
the dune tops.
The course architects, Matkovich & Hayes, designed
the course to present challenges similar to those of traditional
Links courses in Scotland, and the unsheltered fairways
mounds and well-shaped bunkers are reminiscent of the
fabled Links courses of Great Britain. The course varies
between links holes on the dune tops and parklands in
the valley.
This is a fantastic course and it therefore comes as
no surprise that Princes Grant is consistently
rated in the countrys top 20 courses. The facilities
are also first class with the Club House offering 15
luxury rooms.
This course is open and rugged and lends itself well to
natural surroundings that wind their way over the hills
and through the valleys of a typical Northern Natal coastline.
The hills are pretty steep in some places and with holes
running from the highest hill right down to the beach,
we suggest you take a cart for the not so easy walk.
As you drive from an elevated tee, the signature hole
par 5 15th overlooks a seemingly never ending coastline
that stretches all the way to Durban. Dont let
it distract you!
